Olympic News Day I

Nacho Lago and DiMarco Ducks take Early Olympics Lead!
Steven "Ticker" Tocyloski and Danny "King Pin" Tanelli teamed up Wednesday afternoon to finish first and second place in the Manly Man Pushup Competition in room 206. Ticker had a total 109 pushups in 2 minutes to edge Tanelli who completed 106 pushups. Anthony "Mighty Tank" Majuri had 99 pushups for third place and Gabe Scholis-Fernandez took 4th place with 94 pushups. Steven Tocyloski's victory was considered to be an upset of Mighty Joe Peterson who most people expected to win. Joe finished fifth place, but he had the biggest body to move of everyone. "Good job" to all who who competed!

Elsewhere, in room 120 the Sophomore Class Spelling Bee Chamionship was won by Nnenna Ochuba of the DiMarco Ducks! Nnenna edged fellow Duck, Elizabeth Salmi, and Thunder Schmitts Maeve Forde and Samaiya Horn-Corbin. Nnenna's victory was considered a slight upset over precompetition favorite Maeve Forde.

In the Logo competition, Ron Williamson narrowly edged Erin Nahaczewski. Both Ron and Erin tied for the sophomore class t-shirt design last month, so it came as no shock that they were nearly tied again.
